A £500 sponsorship is set to help a long-established bowls club invest in new equipment as it continues to promote the sport and serve the local community.
Baker Estates has announced its sponsorship of Bideford Bowls Club, with the funding helping the club purchase new equipment to support members and visitors.
The sponsorship comes as the housebuilder is constructing new bungalows at Chapel Green in East the Water. The development is expected to welcome its first residents later this year, with the company hoping new homeowners will become involved in the local community through organisations such as Bideford Bowls Club.
Annie Williams, sales and marketing director at Baker Estates, said: “We are delighted to support Bideford Bowls Club, which is just a short drive away from Chapel Green.
“The club has a rich history and plays a vital role in bringing the community together.
“By sponsoring the club, we hope to contribute to its ongoing success and encourage more people to take up and enjoy the sport of bowls in the area.”
