Music fans have been dealt a blow after organisers announced Discovery Festival Plymouth will no longer take place in 2026 following what they described as a difficult decision made after exploring “all possible options”.
In a statement released by Team Discovery, organisers confirmed the festival has now been postponed until Friday, June 11 to Sunday, June 13, 2027.
The statement said organisers had spent the last few weeks working with partners to try to find a way for the event to go ahead as planned.
It read: “Over the last few weeks, we have been working with our partners to explore all possible options.
“However, having exhausted all alternatives, we have reached the very difficult decision to postpone the festival until 11th – 13th June 2027.”
Organisers said refunds would be made available to ticket holders. They also confirmed tickets purchased for the 2026 event will remain valid for the 2027 festival weekend.
The statement added that anyone who keeps their ticket will also receive access to an additional complimentary ticket for another festival day.
Team Discovery said the full 2027 line-up would be announced shortly.
The statement continued: “This has not been an easy decision for anyone involved.
“We know how much the festival means to you, our audience, artists, partners and the wider community and we sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding and continued support shown throughout this process.”
Festivalgoers seeking the additional ticket offer have been asked to contact their original point of purchase.
