A man in his 60s has been arrested after armed police were called to a reported assault in Teignmouth in which threats were allegedly made involving a firearm.
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to Queen Street at 8.55pm on Saturday, May 30, following reports of an assault.
It was further reported that a firearm was present and that threats had been made.
Armed officers attended the scene and arrested a man in his 60s on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, affray and possession of an imitation firearm.
The victim suffered a cut to the face during the incident.
Police said a non-viable firearm was recovered at the scene.
The arrested man has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
